I took these pictures of Paige yesterday before she headed out the door for school. Our little girl is growing up. She really likes this outfit. She found the skirt at Kohl's and we found the shirt at Target and they go together perfectly. Paige is not picky about her clothes but I can tell she is taking more of an interest in what she wears. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. So far I like her taste. I really love that she does not like those low cut jeans...she does not want her underwear showing. Amen!

The kindergarten kids will be heading to school all by themselves today. They had parent day last week and now they are on their own...sort of. Mrs. Ross (the school principal ) chooses two kids from each 4th and 5th grade class to help guide the little ones to their class the first 4 mornings of kindergarten. Paige and Jordan were the ones chosen from their class and I am not surprised because they are both nice sweet girls and they both have little sisters in first grade so they are old pros at guiding younger kids around. The school loaned them these BIG t-shirts to wear so the little kids know who to ask for help and to make it easier for the big kids the kindergarten kids will have name tags with their teacher's name and room number on them. I am very proud of Paige being picked for this job shows that she is resposible and friendly.
My post for Monday 8-27-07

This is my post for Sunday 8/26/07

Make sure you click on the photos to enlarge them.
I took these pictures Friday night when I took the girls to the pool after dinner. It was 95 degrees when we got there at 7 p.m. and 86 degrees when we were going home at 9 p.m. the temp only lowered 10 degrees after dark. But after the big storm rolled through Sat. night it brought some much needed cooler air to central OH. Yesterday was an open window day...blue skies, and mid to upper 70's.
Megan...Bonzai!
Megan looks like she is walking on water!
Look at Paige's face...she has her tounge out like Michael Jordan!
Paige making a SPLASH!

This will be my post for Saturday 8/25/07.
The many faces of Megan. I snapped these pictures of Megan during rest period at the pool (they clear the pool the last 15 mins. of each hour so the life guards can have a break). During this break I was asking her questions about school and this is how it went....
Q) Megan what was your favorite thing you did at school today? A) Eat my snack (animal crackers)
Q) Who did you play with on recess? A) Spencer, Josh, and two other boys, they were chasing me!
Q) Do you like first grade? A) Yes, but the only thing I don't like is that Nick (the boy that sits next to her) is always getting in trouble and getting yelled at.
Q) What was your favorite activity at school today? A) I liked gym class, we got to run around a lot.

Click on these pictures so you can see the water droplets on their chins.I took the girls to the pool after dinner tonight. It was 95 degrees at 7 p.m. and when we were coming home at 9 after the sun went down it was 85 degrees. The girls must have gone off the diving board a bazillion times tonight! If 3 days of school didn't wear them out then I'm sure almost 2 hours of swimming did!
My post for Thursday 8-23-07Thursday is going to be "Dance Day" for us. Both of the girls have their dance classes on Thursdays. This is good for me so I won't have to drive down to the dance studio multiple times during the week. Megan has ballet and tap from 4:15 to 5:15. Paige has tap from 5:00 to 5:45 and then a 15 minute break (time to change into her ballet stuff) and then she has ballet with Miss. Kathleen from 6:00 to 7:00. Paige still has Miss. Rachel for tap class but she will be having a substitute teacher for the first few weeks while Miss. Rachel recovers from having mono. Megan's teacher this year is Miss. Kay. Miss. Kay is a high school senior this year, she is a company dancer and we love to watch her dance in the shows. Paige also has a new ballet teacher this year. Miss. Kathleen is very nice and I think she will challenge the girls this year to do their best. Both of the girls really enjoyed being back at the dance studio again.
Above: Megan's class doing warm ups. Megan is the one with the little purple sweater..you can see her in the mirror.
Above: Paige is ready to tap!
Above: Paige taking some time to get her nightly 20 minutes of reading done.

This is my post for Wednesday, August 22,2007
Megan and Paige all ready for the first day of school!
Paige is in 4th grade this year and looking all grown up.
And speaking of growing up...look how tall Megan has grown! She is excited for 1st grade this year!
It was raining again this morning so they had to wear thier rain coats to the bus stop!
We have a lot of kids at our bus stop!
My post for Tuesday 8-21-07Rain rain go away! We have been having rain and thunderstorms popping up like crazy. Yesterday we had Cara's niece over to play she is in town visiting from PA. Devon is Paige's age so we thought it would be fun to get the girls together. She is a sweet girl and they made friends fast. After she got here the sun was coming out and it was getting warm so we put our swimsuits on and headed to the pool. As we were pulling out of the garage it started pouring rain but by the time we got to the pool it had stopped (just about a mile away). The girls got to swim for two hours before lunch..then after lunch more rain!
This is my post for Monday 8-20-07

Today the girls got to meet their school teachers and bring in their school supplies.Megan and her first grade teacher Mrs. Corbett
Paige and her fourth grade teacher Mrs. Schmitt.
My post for Sunday, August 19, 2007Happy Birthday AGAIN Aunt Deb!!! We went to a wonderful brunch thrown by two of Deb's dear friends Elisa and Cara. The company was fun, the brunch was festive and the food and drinks were divine. Deb is very loved!
This is my post for Saturday 8/18/2007After I got off work on Saturday we went to a car show over in Westerville. This is a Camero that a guy made into a souped up looking "Hot Wheels" car. He was real nice and asked if the girls would like to climb inside for a photo. The kids got a kick out of it.

This is my post for Friday 8/17/07
We had a birthday celebration today....we celebrated Paige's 9th (May 13), my 41st (June 17), Megan's 6th (July 14) and Aunt Deb's 40th (Aug.14). We exchanged gifts and then went to a fun lunch on the patio at Luce's. The girls shared a five dollar kids pizza...it came with pepperoni and we asked if they could put a little prosciutto on it...they put a bunch. It was a $5. pizza with $10. worth of prosciutto on it...they loved it!
Paige got a cute purple hair bow to match the adorable hand knit sweater that Aunt Deb made her. The sweater is not only cute it is so soft...it feels like a warm puppy. Paige also got a cute little flower topped box full of chocolate covered pretzles.

Here is Megan's sweater...and she got a pink hair bow to match. Here she is below with her box of chocolate covered MARSHMALLOWS!

We got Aunt Deb a smoothie maker and a big smoothie cookbook that is full of yummy recipes and big pretty pictures. We also got her some pretty plastic green cups and some kitchen towels with sunflowers on them.
Deb got me an adorable Vera Bradley lunch bag, some cute little sandwich plates that have red checks and cherries on them and the best bread dipping oil from Jason's (a cafe in Dublin). It was happy birthdays for all!

My post for Thursday 8-16-07I took this picture of Mike and Megan last Saturday while we were waiting (and waiting) for our table at Der Dutchman. I think they called our name like 2 minutes after I snapped this...so don't feel too sorry for Mike. He was not suffering, although from these pictures you would swear that he has been taking classes from Rowdy and Rebel...sad doggy eyes and all.
