We celebrated Megan's 7th birthday with her friends today.

We will be on vacation for her actual birthday on July 14th. She was just thrilled to get together with her friends. I will post more photos on my main blog. The only picture of me and Megan and she has her eyes shut, oh well it reminds me of the old days of film.

Paige was a good sport. She stayed home with Mike while he worked from home today. Paige was in charge of decorations. She made some cute "Happy 7th B.day Megan" signs and posted them while we were at Chuck E. Cheese. Paige knew it was fair since Megan did not go to Paige's party this year. Although Megan was at Meghan H.'s slumber party the night of Paige's party, so it all worked out perfect.

We went over to Ann's to help celebrate Jess's 23rd birthday. I think Jess was about Megan's age when I met Mike. My how time flies! The picture above was supposed to be the good shot, I think. Then they started goofing around and here is the best bug eyed picture of the bunch. Thanks Jess, ya know my kids do not need encouragement when it comes to making goofy faces for the camera.
Here is a nice shot of Megan and Aunt Terry after their game of corn hole.

Megan was playing corn hole very seriously, and with style of course.
You know Aaron has been playing with the "big kids" because he can play while holding a can of pop. The "big kids" are usually holding a can of beer, this gives the younger kids a distinct advantage of course.

I wonder how many pictures I have of these two in the same exact pose? It seems that whenever we get together Paige is sitting on her cousin Brittney's lap.
Here everyone is gathered for the birthday girl to blow out all of her candles. She had some help from the wind this year, heck we couldn't even get them all lit. But we sang loud and she pretended to blow them out for the camera. What a good sport!
My post for Saturday 6-28-08After the block party last night we were invited down to Brent and Christy's. Megan was hanging out with her friend Ava. Ava is 5 and she lives across the street from us. Ava thinks Megan "is IT" she is always asking Megan to come ride bikes and play. I think Megan enjoys being the "big girl", since Megan is usually the youngest in the group with Paige and her friends and when they go to their cousins. Ava's mom was telling us "Megan is such a sweet girl she is always welcome at our house". That was nice to hear, because you tell them to use their manners and help clean up. Now if you could just get them to do that at home too.
Paige made a new friend. This is Christy's little dog, Bailey. Paige was carrying him around and I think Bailey was happy as a clam. Paige requested that I print this photo off so she can display it in her room. I wonder what Rebel would think of this?

Happy Birthday Rowdy Dog! Cheers to 12 great years!

I took this picture of our little snaggletooth while we were at the pool yesterday. I predict that her front right tooth will be missing before we go to California. It has a bad case of the wiggles. The left one is loose too, but not as extreme as the right one.
Maybe we need to go see Aunt Deb.

My post for Wednesday, June 25,2008These pictures were taken on Monday when we got home from running errands. They were taken at the same time. I thought it was strange how it was pouring rain, big drops and yet there was a hole in the clouds and you could see blue sky. Go figure...only in the Midwest!

Who remembers jumping backwards into a pool or doing the "Nestea plunge"?

Today after running some errands (getting my haircut , dropping off the recycling, grocery shopping and dropping off a c.d. at the library) we had lunch and headed to the pool. I was sitting on the opposite side of the pool when I noticed Paige and Megan jumping in backwards. I had the camera with me so I took a few pictures....so they will always remember jumping in backwards.

I just had to add this shot. My Grandma will get a kick out of it...I am sure she remembers her youngest granddaughter doing the same exact pose. Of course that was back in the day when you had to pay for film and developing. I wonder how many pictures she has with me sticking out my tongue. You see what goes around comes around.

Paige and Megan are sporting pink camo band aides.

They had their annual check ups today and they both had to get their chicken pox booster. Megan was not thrilled about that at all! After I had to hold her down for her shot she told me that her arm hurt and it wasn't the arm that got the shot it was the arm I had to pin down. She also had to have her finger pricked for an iron test. The nurse asked her if she likes to eat her veggies and Megan told her that her favorite is broccoli. The nurse said she could tell because her iron level was nice and high.

It's a dogs life!Rebel has it made in the shade or to be precise the sun. I caught him resting his chin on the window seal taking a little siesta in the sunshine, of course it is nice and cool since there is an air conditioning vent blowing up right in front of the bay window seat. Like I said he has it made in the shade maybe someone should tell him how lucky he is.

"Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?"

When this crazy little yellow finch comes to our kitchen window I can't help wondering if he's looking for some fancy condiments ? Silly little guy comes by a few times a day. Mike grabbed the camera today and got 4 or 5 pictures before he took off.

Here is your special request Ann

I took a picture of my amazing bracelet on my arm so that you can get a feel for it's size. It is not heavy at all. Go check out the web site at www.PoMoGalaxy.com. This is the coolest one of a kind gift. That Deb she is always coming up with the most creative gifts.

You can click on the photos to enlarge. I tried taking up close pictures while wearing it and just came up with blur. So I sat it in natural light on the porch rail.

It's like wearing memories on my arm. Some of these pictures have already been made into scrapbook pages by my sister, so that is cool too. I remember when each photo was taken, and two of them were taken by Paige.

Since I did not take any photos today...too busy cleaning house here is one from one year ago today. We were driving down to Florida after spending the weekend with Mike's parents in Georgia. The dogs stayed with them while we were off to see The Mouse and all his friends at Disney World.
Hmmm I really like Paige's hair that length, maybe I will have to talk her into getting a trim before we go on vacation next month.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's that are dear to us.....in CA, AK, GA , PA and OH. We wish you all the best.We took Mike out to see "Kung Fu Panda" then we had a late lunch-early dinner at California Pizza Kitchen.
The girls got their dad some chocolate covered pretzels and I made him a boxed dad themed scrapbook. I will post photos on my main blog. But I think his best gift was that Dale Jr. finally won a race today.
My post for Saturday, June 14, 2008

Summer time in the Midwest means chasing fire flies at dusk.
I spotted the first fire flies about 2 weeks ago but they were few and far between. Last night there were quite a few out. The kids got their "Coleman fire fly lanterns" out and went hunting. They caught about a half dozen in less then 10 minutes. I got these cute little fire fly catchers at "Big Lots" last summer.
The girls brought the fire flies upstairs and took turns having them in their rooms until they went to bed. After everyone was asleep turned them loose on the front porch...so we can catch them again another night.

No more naked toes...we painted our piggies in shades of pink.
