While my dear friend Lisa was here in town with her family we let Megan take the day off school to go with us to see the "Savage Garden Exhibit" at Franklin Park Conservatory.
It was quite educational, we even watched one of the plant experts feed one of the Venus Fly Traps and she answered all of the kids questions. Afterward she came over and thanked the kids for being such a good audience and for asking such clever questions.

This is a "Pitcher Plant" it captures it's prey in the pitchers that are really just an extension of it's leaves. Down inside the pitcher is a slippery liquid so when a bug gets inside it is unable to crawl out.

A little Chihuly for your viewing pleasure.

Megan, Lindsay and Chase were having so much fun exploring that it was hard to get them to all stand still for a photo.

I love that I caught this shot of the girls holding hands while they were strolling along.

Lindsay and Megan "take our picture under this leaf"...so glad I did because it's pretty darn cute.

This Venus Fly Trap is as big as they get. If I remember correctly this one was "engineered to grow this big".

Chase was giving an example of how much air it would take to blow a large glass sphere like the one below.
