This is my post for Thursday September 13, 2007
Megan has to do a presentation in front of her first grade class on Friday. The theme is "All About Me". I printed the pictures off that she wanted and helped her stick them onto her paper and she did all of the writing and decorating. She had me write the sentences out and then she copied them down on her poster. It was a lot of writing for a first grader. She came home with a big yellow star from her teacher...it says "We enjoyed learning all about you. Great job!"
Gee thanks Aunt Deb!
Megan asked if she could have her lolly pop lips that she got from Aunt Deb for desert tonight instead of my brown sugar cinnamon coffee cake. I told her she could have them on one condition....I get to post a picture on my blog. As you can see she was very shy about the whole thing :)

My post for Saturday 9-08-2007
Megan all dressed up and ready to go to her friend Hailey's birthday party. The theme was "High School Musical" that is a Disney movie that runs on the Disney Channel. It is about this high school jock that finds out that he likes to sing and dance and about the other kids accepting him for what he likes. Megan got her friend one of the dolls from the show and I guess it was a big hit with the birthday girl. Megan came home all happy and with a treat bag full of candy and some colorful gel pens.
Maybe it's the allergy medicine or how much my ear was aching but somehow someway I did not get these two pictures posted with the rest of the wedding photos yesterday. So here they are...I thought they were worth a post.
Denise, Brandi, Paige and Megan. Denise is one of my dearest friends. She was one of the first people to see Paige right after she was born (with the exception of me, Mike and the doctor and nurses). Denise was supposed to be at the birth but didn't get there until it was about done. I heard her voice outside the door and said please have her come in. I remember how much she ohhed and ahhed over our little pouty lipped baby girl. What wonderful memories we share.
Brandi, Nicole, Denise and Jacinta.
Denise has raised these two sweet, smart, beautiful daughters. I am so lucky to have such a good friend and she is such a good role model on how to raise great kids.
My post for today 9-06-07....yeah I am all caught up!
After the kids got on the school bus I got the hose out and watered all the flowers and trees. It is gonna be a hot one today...mid 90's. After I was done I saw this Monarch so I had to run and grab the camera. Do you ever wonder just how these little delicate creatures find their way back to Mexico (and some to Monterey, CA) to spend their winter before laying their eggs in the Spring. Paige has a book about it but it still seems unbelievable. Especially when you see them bobbing and weaving in the air, they look like they have no flight plan. I always wince when I see one coming towards my car when I am driving. I would hate to think the darn thing made it all the way to OH to end up smashing into the side of a minivan.
My post c/o Mike for Wednesday 9/05/2007
Mike took this picture yesterday in our backyard before heading to work. It looks kind of cool the mist and the sun coming up.

Megan dancing with Danielle a.k.a. "The Princess Bride"
And here's the story....
Today our neighbor and the mom to one of Megan's classmates stopped and had lunch with the kids at school. During lunch Erica (Megan's friends mom) asked Megan if she had fun at the wedding over the weekend. Megan told her "I had a fun time and I even got to dance with "The Princess Bride"!"
My post for Monday 9-03-07
We had to park the car on the other side of this playground so on the way back from the church we let the girls get their wiggles out after the wedding ceremony. Thank heaven for swings!
I am going to post pictures from Kellan and Danielle's wedding for the next few days. I felt fine until the ride home from Marietta on Sunday when I got a fever...needless to say I have an ear infection. I am not surprised since I have had fluid in my ears since Aug.9th the first time I went to the Doctor and found out I had strep throat. I went back again last Wed. about my throat and ear hurting and the doctor I saw thought it was allergies. Sunday and Monday I had a fever and I called back on Tuesday (because of the holiday weekend) and they were nice enough to call in some more antibiotics. But the pain was so bad last night that I could not lay down so they are going to see me this afternoon. I am tired of being sick and I am tired of going to the doctor. Okay...got that off my chest. Now for the picture....
My post for Sunday 9/02/07
Jacinta (age 21) , me, Megan and Paige. I have known Jacinta since she was in preschool with Jessica T. Her and Jess were good friends and Denise (Jacinta's mom) and I would get the girls together for play dates and we became friends too....17 years ago. Cinta has grown into a beautiful young woman, she is going to graduate from A.S.U. this year with a degree in journalism. She is such a smart, funny, sweet and lovely girl and I am so proud of her. She has got the whole package and I am sure she will go far in life. She used to babysit Paige and Megan when she lived here in town so we were all happy to see her again. This is my post for Sunday September 02,2007
This is my post for Saturday September 01,2007
I walked into Paige's room this morning to see if she was up and this is what I saw. A girl and her pup having sweet dreams. Doesn't get much better than this.
I took this picture of my nephew Cody the last time we were out to CA in 2005. He is such a great kid...he is a collage student , and artist and an all around good guy!
HAPPY 23RD BIRTHDAY CODY!
We love you and miss you! We hope you are having a wonderful day!
My post for Wed. 8-29-07
This is what Megan wore to school today...she looks like summer! Speaking of summer it was 95 degrees today...whew and talk about humid! A cold front is coming tomorrow...thank goodness.
The kindergarten kids will be heading to school all by themselves today. They had parent day last week and now they are on their own...sort of. Mrs. Ross (the school principal ) chooses two kids from each 4th and 5th grade class to help guide the little ones to their class the first 4 mornings of kindergarten. Paige and Jordan were the ones chosen from their class and I am not surprised because they are both nice sweet girls and they both have little sisters in first grade so they are old pros at guiding younger kids around. The school loaned them these BIG t-shirts to wear so the little kids know who to ask for help and to make it easier for the big kids the kindergarten kids will have name tags with their teacher's name and room number on them. I am very proud of Paige being picked for this job shows that she is resposible and friendly.
Click on these pictures so you can see the water droplets on their chins.
I took the girls to the pool after dinner tonight. It was 95 degrees at 7 p.m. and when we were coming home at 9 after the sun went down it was 85 degrees. The girls must have gone off the diving board a bazillion times tonight! If 3 days of school didn't wear them out then I'm sure almost 2 hours of swimming did!
