MY POST FOR SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 14,2008

Mike and Paige were teasing me that I was taking pictures of "the wind", but don't you see it...the trees all bent and the grasses and sunflowers bending over. It's "the wind"!
The Sunday that felt like a WINDS-day! The day started out just fine a little overcast but warm. The weather guys on the news predicted strong winds for later in the day. But sometimes they get things wrong and sometimes they "over predict" and act like dooms day is coming, especially when it has anything to do with snow. Anyways the morning hours were fine, I helped Mike mow the lawn. Then after lunch Mike went over to take out one of Linda's dead trees. It was getting a little breezy but not crazy. Megan had gone with some friends to watch a little mini football game, Paige was on the computer so I went up to shower. While I was in the shower the power went out. Then Mike ran inside to tell us that our neighbors across the street lost one of their street trees. So of course we all ran out to watch the weather. All of our neighbors were out too. We had some pretty strong gust. They said they were from 50 to 70 mph. luckily there was not any rain or it could have been a lot worse.

It was also Rebel's 2nd birthday, so here is our birthday boy and Paige having a blustery photo shoot.

Rowdy was a little squinty in the wind, but so was Paige!

Can anyone tell me why this crazy dog still sits on his hips instead of his rear? He's 2 he should start sitting like a regular dog. We like to joke that he needs a pair of trousers.
I love this picture of Rowdy, he has such a happy sweet face!

The neighbors lost both of the street trees on the side of their house. We were all outside when the 2nd one went down and it was weird we didn't even hear it crack, the wind was that loud.
