Summer time in the Midwest means chasing fire flies at dusk.
I spotted the first fire flies about 2 weeks ago but they were few and far between. Last night there were quite a few out. The kids got their "Coleman fire fly lanterns" out and went hunting. They caught about a half dozen in less then 10 minutes. I got these cute little fire fly catchers at "Big Lots" last summer. The girls brought the fire flies upstairs and took turns having them in their rooms until they went to bed. After everyone was asleep turned them loose on the front porch...so we can catch them again another night.
