This is my post for Wed. 2-27-08My sister took these pictures the last night she was here. The one above is her boot print and Megan's boot print side by side. She is so creative that way, another reason to love her.
It started snowing here Tuesday afternoon and did not stop until Wed. noon. Paige and Megan's school was on a 2 hour delay at 6:20 when I checked and then by 8 a.m. they had changed it to a snow day. I took the girls to see "The Water Horse Legend" at the dollar movie theater. It was a great family movie, about the legend of the loch ness monster. Very entertaining and very believable. It is a great movie for young and old.

...........................is for Paige at least around these parts. I glued the felt to the back of Paige's P and trimmed it and then hung it up after she went to school today. I need to go glue the felt to the back of Megan's M. Just thought I would share so Aunt Shann could see the P hanging on Miss. Paige's door.

The world is full of people
who will go their Whole lives
and not actually Live
one day.
She did not intend on being
one of them.

And neither did her Sister!
Hey Sis, you forgot your magnet on the
counter. But not to worry I will send
it out to you with some nuts of course!
We miss you and love you, Always-always

I is for Igloo! The weekend project for Paige and Megan was trying to build an igloo in our backyard. They went out to play in the sun and snow and decided to build a fort. Too bad they thought they had enough man power and icy snow chunks to build a fort that is at least 7 feet deep and 5 feet across. Needless to say the walls are about 10 inches high. But they got some fresh air, rosy cheeks and had some fun in the process.

Today we had snow on the ground and a high of 29 degrees and nothing but blue skies and sunshine. We left the front door open so the dogs could soak up some sun in front of the storm door. Rowdy was making the most of his sunny spot. I even saw him panting.
If anyone thinks that dogs do not smile then they have obviously not witnessed Rowdy laying in sunshine on a chilly winter day. Yep I definitely see a smile on his face!

My Post for Friday 2-22-08
This little dog is going to miss his Aunt Shann something awful come tomorrow. It is impossible to believe but Rebel actually growled at Shann last Friday night when she got here. We are thinking he was smelling Rosea and Tucker-T on her clothes. He warmed up to her and they have been best buddies ever since. First thing in the morning he wants to go jump on her bed and get some Auntie snuggles. It makes me happy to see that he loves Aunt Shann just as much as Paige, Megan and Rowdy dog. You know what they say about kids and dogs being the best judge of character. :)

My post for Thursday February 21-2008It's All Good!
When we got out of dance class last night the snow had already started coming down. It was 7 p.m. and Shann and I had not had dinner. The kids had some yogurt and muffins that I had packed for them. We were famished so we stopped at "Jason's" this great little place that Deb introduced me too last year. It is the same place that we ate at with Deb and Bud when Dad and Carole were out last May. It is one of those places that makes nothing but great meals. Shann had a flat bread pizza with chicken & veggies. I had this amazing balsamic glazed grilled chicken sandwich with pesto mayo and some light and tasty onion rings. Shann also fell in love with their sun dried tomato dipping oil.
After dinner we stopped by for a visit with Deb, Bud and Joe...see my main blog for that.

This is my post for Wednesday Feb. 20,2008
Last night I was so happy to take my sister to a card class at my very favorite scrapbook store, Scrapbook Art. All of the gals that work at the store are super nice and talented. We took a fun card class taught by Kathy and we did a little shopping. They have all their printed paper by one get one and they had lots of other great deals too.
The inside of this beauty reads "FRIENDS are those people who know the words to the song in your heart and sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words".
This one says "A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil: but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls, and small silly presents every so often - just to save it from drying out completely". Very cute card!
Friends Forever!
Me and my Sis sharing some creative energy!
THANK you........I am so happy that my sister is here!
thanks....for being such a sweet-fun-creative-thoughtful-wise Auntie!
Thank You----Steve, Cody and Chelsea for sharing your wife-best friend-mom with us, it has been so wonderful having her here with us to make memories.
This is my post for Tuesday 2-19-08Aunt Shann and Paige took turns reading stories before bed tonight. After dinner we subjected Aunt Shann to a bunch of d.v.d. footage of dance recitals. It was fun to look back at their costumes and see them dance again.

We ventured to the zoo today, Shann got in free because it was President's day. The zoo was not crowded maybe because it was 32 degrees out and snowing. Here is Shann checking out Fluffy the 26 foot python. How many pairs of boots do you think that snake would make?
Paige, Aunt Shann and Megan posing by the big peace bell outside of Asia Quest.
My Post for Sunday 2-17-08Here is Aunt Shann, Megan and Paige with the cute little dogs they made at Build-A-Bear. Aunt Shann and family had sent the girls B.A.B. gift cards for Christmas so we waited until Aunt Shann got here to do them. Megan named her pup Ruby and Paige named hers Charlie after the St.Bernard Aunt Shann had when she was a kid.
Last night when we were looking at the pictures Shann and I about busted a gut laughing at this one. We actually had tears from laughing so hard. Shann says it should say UN-Stuff Me!

Saturday, February 16, 2008

OH Yeah, Aunt Shann got here. The girls took naps so they could stay up and go to the airport. We got back to the house around 11 and had some cinnamon coffee cake that I had made. We finally got in bed around midnight.

Happy Hearts!
Happy Valentine's day from OhiO. I will post more pictures later of our gift giving this morning before breakfast. It is going to be a busy day. I need to go pack my lunch so I can head out the door to work. After work I will run home and let the dogs out and feed them lunch. Then I make the kids a snack, grab their dance bags and go pick them up at school and go to dance from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. We hope you all have a lovely day! XOXOXOXOXO from your Ohio girls, B.P. and M.
My Post for Wed. 2-13-08The girls went back to school today...after a 2 hour delay. When I was going through Megan's backpack I found this bright and beautiful piece of artwork she had done in art class. It is Megan's take of Monet's lily pond. I love it!

My what big feet you have? Mike took his shoes off and left them in the kitchen by the chair. Then Paige sat down and slipped her tiny size 1 feet in them. I grabbed the camera and got this funny shot.

Monday, February 11, 2008

This is what our sky looked like at 7 a.m. and 6 degrees this morning. The dogs sure do get their business done fast when it's that cold out. No sniffing around for 10 minutes looking for the perfect spot.
The kids are on a two hour delay for school, so they are thrilled!
Megan's friend Caitlyn is coming over after school for a play date, so she is double thrilled!!
My Post for Sunday 2-10-08Before we started making Valentines this table was spotless. The reason I say that is that I had just cleaned it off and I have not done that for quite a while. There were stacks of scrapbook paper, books, kids crafts etc. all over. So having the table cleared off was a big deal. Nothing like your sister coming out to get you in gear to clean your scrap table. :)
The girls made their own Valentines with stickers, stamps and gel pens for their classmates and teachers. Afterwards we taped a special Valentine Tootsie Roll to each one.

My post for Saturday Feb. 09,2008

When I got home from work on Saturday Megan was thrilled to tell me that her friend from school, Caitlyn had called and wanted Megan to come over to play. So we called them back and I drove Megan over to their house. They live right down the street. It's close enough for me to walk her down but not close enough for her to go by herself. She stayed over for a few hours and had a great time. They colored their hair (with permission) with this kids washable color spray. So Megan came home with some streaks of blue in her hair. Luckily she did not use scissors on her hair. Caitlyn decided to give herself a little trim and she is now missing a little chunk on her left side of her head. Thank goodness that Megan had the good sense not to cut her own hair. Blue hair is fine, chopped hair is not!
Oh by the way when she got in the tub and washed her hair out the water turned a beautiful shade of Caribbean blue.
My post for Friday 2-08-08
Below, Paige, Brooke, Lauren, and Mikaela getting ready to sing.Friday night was the "Family Dinner" night at the kids school. Each grade takes turns singing songs and the P.T.O. sells dinner this year it was hot dogs, sausages, mac & cheese and coleslaw. We skipped the dinner just went for the entertainment. Luckily our kids sang at 5:30 and 6 so we didn't have to wait around. We took them to Don Pablo's for dinner afterwards. Then we stopped by Aquarium Adventure and got some fish for our tanks. It was a fun night out. Stop by my other blog for more pictures.

Another blast from the past...February 2006.
Paige is 7 and Megan is 4.
They are dressed as Snow White and Cinderella because I took them to see Disney's Princess's on Ice, we had a wonderful girls night out. They had also dressed up a few weeks earlier and I had taken them to a local mall and they received vouchers for free tickets to the show. I was the only one that had to pay so I bought a twenty dollar ticket for myself and they got theirs free. We were about 6 or 7 rows from the ice. It was magical!
My post for 2-05-08I don't have any new pictures to post so here are some from Feb. 2005. Paige was 6 and Megan was 3, boy time just flies right by. Rowdy was all about getting that carrot nose for a snack. Silly dog!

100 DAY!As of today Megan has gone to 1st grade for one hundred days! Just in case you couldn't tell from the hat she made. She decorated her hat with 100 tally marks. Paige had to count them of course and came up with just 62. Turns out the other 38 are there but when the hat got stapled they ended up under the flap.

Sunday, February 03, 2008

We are very proud of Paige. She tried out for one of the solo roles for the Spring dance show. The role was for "Petals" and was open to kids in 1st through 4th grades that take at least two advanced dance classes. There were 11 girls trying out for 3 places (they have 3 shows since there are so many dancers so they pick 3 dancers for each solo role so they can dance in one of the three shows). Paige did not get the part but she had fun and did her best. One of her good friends, Rachel whom she has taken classes with since 1st grade got one of the spots and we are very happy for her and the other two girls as well.
My post for 2-02-2008Megan was so excited when I got home from work on Saturday. No it was not because she missed me and wanted a hug (although she did), it was because she was going to her best friend Cameron's for a sleepover.
I snapped this picture of the two of them when Cameron and her mom came to pick Megan up..they were on their way to Greater's for ice cream. Cameron just got new glasses (her first pair) on Friday. She looks adorable in them.
When Megan came home today she said "I am already used to Cameron wearing glasses and she's just had them two days!" Then I notice Megan wearing her pink heart shaped sunglasses around the house, hmmmmm?
