My post for Saturday 6-28-08
After the block party last night we were invited down to Brent and Christy's. Megan was hanging out with her friend Ava. Ava is 5 and she lives across the street from us. Ava thinks Megan "is IT" she is always asking Megan to come ride bikes and play. I think Megan enjoys being the "big girl", since Megan is usually the youngest in the group with Paige and her friends and when they go to their cousins. Ava's mom was telling us "Megan is such a sweet girl she is always welcome at our house". That was nice to hear, because you tell them to use their manners and help clean up. Now if you could just get them to do that at home too.
Paige made a new friend. This is Christy's little dog, Bailey. Paige was carrying him around and I think Bailey was happy as a clam. Paige requested that I print this photo off so she can display it in her room. I wonder what Rebel would think of this?
I took this picture of our little snaggletooth while we were at the pool yesterday. I predict that her front right tooth will be missing before we go to California. It has a bad case of the wiggles. The left one is loose too, but not as extreme as the right one.
Maybe we need to go see Aunt Deb.
My post for Wednesday, June 25,2008
These pictures were taken on Monday when we got home from running errands. They were taken at the same time. I thought it was strange how it was pouring rain, big drops and yet there was a hole in the clouds and you could see blue sky. Go figure...only in the Midwest!
Paige and Megan are sporting pink camo band aides.
They had their annual check ups today and they both had to get their chicken pox booster. Megan was not thrilled about that at all! After I had to hold her down for her shot she told me that her arm hurt and it wasn't the arm that got the shot it was the arm I had to pin down. She also had to have her finger pricked for an iron test. The nurse asked her if she likes to eat her veggies and Megan told her that her favorite is broccoli. The nurse said she could tell because her iron level was nice and high.
It's a dogs life!
Rebel has it made in the shade or to be precise the sun. I caught him resting his chin on the window seal taking a little siesta in the sunshine, of course it is nice and cool since there is an air conditioning vent blowing up right in front of the bay window seat. Like I said he has it made in the shade maybe someone should tell him how lucky he is.
My post for Saturday June 21,2008"Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?"
When this crazy little yellow finch comes to our kitchen window I can't help wondering if he's looking for some fancy condiments ? Silly little guy comes by a few times a day. Mike grabbed the camera today and got 4 or 5 pictures before he took off.
When viewing the photo below please ignore all the junk on the couter....just keeping it real!
This is the oreo chocolate cake that Paige and Megan picked out for my birthday.
It taste just like eating an oreo.....YUM-O!
Since I did not take any photos today...too busy cleaning house here is one from one year ago today. We were driving down to Florida after spending the weekend with Mike's parents in Georgia. The dogs stayed with them while we were off to see The Mouse and all his friends at Disney World.
Hmmm I really like Paige's hair that length, maybe I will have to talk her into getting a trim before we go on vacation next month.

Summer time in the Midwest means chasing fire flies at dusk.
I spotted the first fire flies about 2 weeks ago but they were few and far between. Last night there were quite a few out. The kids got their "Coleman fire fly lanterns" out and went hunting. They caught about a half dozen in less then 10 minutes. I got these cute little fire fly catchers at "Big Lots" last summer.
The girls brought the fire flies upstairs and took turns having them in their rooms until they went to bed. After everyone was asleep turned them loose on the front porch...so we can catch them again another night.

No more naked toes...we painted our piggies in shades of pink.
